Dipping in the Kenai!
These are pics I took last year at the Kenai River. I wanted to show constance how we dip for salmon...a follow up from connie maries post.:-)

Waiting for the fish to hit.

got one!

pulling one up.

Yes!

cleaning the fish!
And that's how we dip for salmon. It's exciting when the fish hit your net. I haven't done it. I get excited just watching my family catch them.:-)
Last year two of our daughters got kings in their net. One got away and the other putlled hers in. Our youngest had to call for her brother to help her pull in the king but it got out of the net..sigh!

I remember you sharing these photos with me last summer. I've never gone dipping myself. It looks like hard work!

That looks exciting. Jerry and I love salmon--in fact we had it for dinner today in a restaurant. Delicious and very good for one's health.
God's blessing to you.

I deleted my previous post because my spelling looked like one of my granddaughters had typed it for me!
Thanks for sharing your pictures. I now know what salmon dipping is! I have to say though, that first pic of the Kenai River, I can't even see the other side! That must be one big, honking river! I guess that just proves that things aren't bigger just in Texas but Alaska too!!
tee hee!
