The other nite my daughter and I decorated our gingerbread houses. We had fun working on them together,but can you see which one wasn't cooperating..hehe! She made good attempts to make them stay up but they would end up falling down. Even her sis-in-law tried to make them stay up but to no avail. But in all we had a good time decorating.

Accident

Yesterday my hubby was in a car accident. He was on the way to work. He hit some black ice and lost control. He didn't break any bones,he just has some sore muscles. He got checked out by his doctor and said he was good. His doctor called to see how he was doing,he is doing good. I am so thankful the Lord kept him safe.

Tomorrow nite we will be traveling to visit Doris and her family in Oregon. Deb and her family will travel to Oregon on the 17 from Maryland. On the 18th Mari will join us. We are so excited things worked out for us to visit family for the Thanksgiving holiday. We haven't seen our daughter from Maryland in 5 years,to long. We went to my daughter's house for a Halloween party with the grandchildren. They got their faces painted and had a donut on a string contest,Aaron won that one...hehe! Kids even decorated some cupcakes. When the youngest grandchild was putting icing on his,with the help of dad,his eyes lit up when he saw the pile of icing,he look like he could just eat that and forget the cake..hehe! Everyone had a good time. We had a few trick or treaters come by.

I'm Back Again!

Well not long after I posted the last post, my computer crashed..grrr!
So we took my harddrive to the computer hospital ..hehe, and told them to fix it so it is all better. It took them a day to get my computer fixed. So once again I'm a happy camper. But now I am starting all over again with emails and pictures,(which I didn't back up)..so I'm sad about that. Now I'm going to start backing up my pictures.
We went to Whittier yesterday. Ken missed one silver. My brother Toby caught couple silvers,it was good to see Toby and Shirley. It was cloudy and calm. So I took some pictures of Whittier and will be posting them later after I get my camera all set up to use again.

Well remember I told you my computer was on the blink. Well the other night I came into my computer room and tended to my 2 parakeets. Gave them fresh water and more seeds. As I was walking out of the room. I looked at my computer and thought I would try my computer again,just incase some miracle happen and it started working..hehe! So I turned it on and waited,heard the harddrive working,but I figured it was just doing what it did last time and nothing would happen. Well pretty soon my Window's screen came on..and I said okay next comes the grey screen..hehe..I waited,then pretty soon my user name list came on...then I said.."My computer is working, I'm hooking up!!" So It's been working for the last 4 days or so. I was so excited.
To this day I don't know what happen to my computer and why it started to work. But I'm not complaining I'm so happy I can get back on the internet on MY computer. Maybe one day we will figure out why it quit working.
But I was thankful I still could get online with the other computer in the livingroom.

Fair

Just thought I would post a short message to let you all know I'm still kicking..hehe!
We went to the State Fair. It was a beautiful day, just a tad hot. Saw family and friends, so we sat and visit with them while we snacked on some Fair food. I enjoyed the funnel cake..yummy! I also got a crystal to hang on the window. I try to get a crystal from the Fair every year. I've missed some years and some have broken. But the ones I have,my grandchildren enjoy. They like to watch the rainbows on the ceiling and walls on a sunny day. One time one of the grandkids ask me on a cloudy day if they can watch the rainbows, hehe, I said no, you need to sun to see the rainbows. They are so pretty to watch!
Courtney and Valya went on some rides and got their faces painted and bought gold and silver wigs to wear..so I took a picture of Courtney when she got home. I'll post that another time.
My computer went out on me. I don't know when I will get it fixed. So I'm back in the livingroom computer.

And that's how we dip for salmon. It's exciting when the fish hit your net. I haven't done it. I get excited just watching my family catch them.:-)
Last year two of our daughters got kings in their net. One got away and the other putlled hers in. Our youngest had to call for her brother to help her pull in the king but it got out of the net..sigh!

Brown Bear

Last Saturday we went to Seward to do some fishing. Going to Seward is a three hour drive from where we live. But I like long drives. I enjoy God's beautiful creation on the way down.
Well just outside of Seward we passed a Seward Police and he had his light on,not the blue and red but just the white one on top going. We wondered why and then around the bend we saw some cars stop. We thought it might be an accident,dang..not we will be delayed getting into Seward. But as we got closer we saw people walking and looking off to the right side of the highway. What they were looking at was couple of brown bears down by the river. So I let my daughter run and take a picture cause the bears were heading further in and into the bushes. She came back to the van with couple of pictures. So here is a picture of the brown bears!

Can you see the brown bears? Well if you look hard you can see a patch of brown in the bushes,yes the brown patch..that's the bears going in..we missed the show..hehehe!
After all that,we continued on our journey to Seward.
Our oldest son Ken did some fishing while we watched.
He got 1 king and 2 reds. We were so excited.

So the next day I fried up some of the king for supper..so yummy!! I cooked the rest for supper yesterday when my hubby came home from work.

My family is getting over colds..the coughing is what is all nasty with this one. I'll be glad when we get over that.
I was outside earlier and my rhubarb is coming up,and they are looking good. Looks like I need to split them again , at this rate I'm going to have a farm of rhubarb..hehehe!
I'm still knitting scarves. I'm thinking of beading again. Going to see if I can find some patterns on the internet.
This morning when we were taking the trash out, we saw 12 cranes flying over us. I haven't seen any swans yet.

Easter Bread

I thought I would share with you a picture of our Easter bread we make every year.

We use cherries,raisins,walnuts,cinnamon. We mixed all togther then we usually put them in coffee cans. But you can put it into loaf pans. Then you can frost them and put some sprinkles on top..I like to toast mine in the morning..yum!!

Hi..I haven't fallen off the face of the earth just yet. I've just been busy knitting. But I should have some time to post now and then.hehe!
I'm enjoying the nice warm temps. Seeing the snow melt away ,giving way to Spring..woohoo!
I looked at my rhubarb and they are starting to come up.
Our kittens are almost 5 wks old now. They are getting playful.

My son Josh and his wife Aj just found out they are having a baby girl...woohoo! They are so excited. The baby even crossed her legs,being a little lady..hehe! She is due Aut.11.

I took this pic awhile back. I thought I would share this with you.
I'm sitting here listening to the wind and it sounds so cold. I grabbed my robe and now I feel cozy warm. I could use a nice cup of coffee about now,but it is a tad to early..hehe! I fell asleep but then woke up now I can't go back to sleep. I hate when I do this, sleep for awhile and then can't fall back to sleep.
Our cat Gir,had kittens over a week ago. She had 4 kittens and half of them are taken. We have 2 gray and 2 spotted. Their eyes opened up this weekend. I saw one playing with one of the other kittens. I took a pic of them but didn't download them to my computer.
We've been having clears skies at nite,so last night on the way back from a meeting,I enjoyed looking up at the beautiful moon the Lord gaves us to enjoy at nite.:-)

Busy, sick and lazy...hehe!

I was gone for a week, that is why I didn't post lately. Enjoyed the meetings in the morning and evening. The meetings were about healing and and in the evening was blessings with songs and testimonies. The Native Musicale is put on every year by Anchorage Native New Life. The meetings last for a week. It is good to be back home in the comforts of my home.
Then I got sick the last 2 days of the Musicale. So I missed the meetings and the Freedom Bands night to sing. But they were in our thoughts and prayers. I am finally feeling better. I thank the Lord! Some of our families aren't feeling good either. Some got the stomach flu and strep. So keep them in your prayers,thanks! But slowly recovering.
Then I was just plain lazy to post on my blog. So I thought I would just post a quick note let you know what is going on.

I finally went downstairs and took a picture of our table.
It's so good to have a table, we've been without one for awhile.
Since we've gotten it,we've eaten,visited and play games at the table,oh almost forgot,used it for a catch all..hehe. I bet you couldn't tell from the picture. Flowers from Valentine's day,candy,yahtzee game..but it is all good. I'm happy for my table.
When my grandkids first ate at the table, they were busy looking at their hands under the glass top..hehe!

A table

Well we finally got a used "new" table for us. We've been without a table for almost a year. I missed having a table to sit at when we ate. Now we have a smokey round table for 4. So nice.!!
Today our granddaughter turned 3 months. Time is going fast. She is doing well and keeping her parents busy. But they still get their ice fishing in.:-)
Our sil came up for a quick visit,from Maryland. He came home to see his dad who had a birthday it was a surprise for his dad. So he enjoyed being with his family. We had a dinner with him the day he was going to leave. It was so good to see him. It would have been better if the rest of the family made it up. One day they will make it up for a visit.
Okay I'm done for now..just a short post. You all have a good week..:-)

Moose vs Man

On May 17,05 Josh just got off work at midnight and was heading back up to the Valley,which is about 40 miles from Anchorage. When a moose was cross the highway. I don't think he saw the moose till it was to late to do anything. The moose went up over his Focus,peeling it back like a sardine can.
A nurse had just got off work or was heading up the Valley about that same time when she saw him after he hit the moose. All he said was my name and they had to find out the phone number. She told us what happen and that they were taking Josh to the hospital.
I was so scared and I had to tell myself to keep calm and that was hard. My hubby was back at work and I had to be the strong one. But I had my other kids with me so that helped. But I did say a quick prayer.
We got to the hospital and stayed with him till they release him that same day at noon. He was doing so well for what he had just gone thru. The Lord really was watching over him that night. We thank the Lord for all that He did for our family. I still get teary eyed when I look at some of the pictures. Even doing this story with the pictures.

Josh today. He is doing good and got a different job here in the Valley. No more commuting. Also they are expecting their first baby in August. Congrats to Josh and Aj. The Lord is so good!!
